More good news

We have been approved for a home loan. We have been looking only a short time, but it is still very exciting. I really hope that we find a home that is perfect for us. (we already have one picked out, everything just has to work) I am very excited to be looking and purchasing a home.

I am tired of renting. I am finding that it is the biggest waste of money there is. One thing that just brings me joy to think about it is that it will be mine. I can do what ever I want on my property. I can build me a rock wall if I want to, I can plant a flower if I want to. I will be able to make this structure in to my families home. Not just an apartment that I share with 200 other people. If we decide we want to paint a wall, WE CAN!!

I can't wait till all this is over and we are in our new home.

Good news

Well we found out on Friday July 3rd that Jennifer is pregnant again. I am so excited. I can't wait find out if we are having a boy or girl. I am so excited that Adrian is going to have a sibling close to his age I think that's going to be really cool for him.

WALK

Adrian has started walking. He isn't walking very far, but even so it is really cool. Last night he walked about 7 steps and then he wouldn't go any further. Tonight he walked all the way accross the living room and then he walked about half way down the hall. It's so cool!

Well, I think Adrian has heard the story enough times he decided to try it just like Daddy!

Tanks

I have finally gotten some good pictures of the two tanks so... here's how the new one started

And then the 'old' tank

Well I may not have convinced her to get a 150 gallon, but I did convince her to get a fish tank for our bedroom. It's a 26 gallon curved front. I haven't taken any pictures of it yet so I will take some and post them tomorrow. We have to wait about a week to get fish for it. We have to wait for it to 'cycle' (build up bacteria). I'm very excited.

This is my fish tank in progress. We have 5 gold barbs, 2 tiger barbs, 2 albino barbs, 2 gold fish, 2 bala sharks, 1 red finned shark, 1 dwarf gourami, 2 sucker fish and 1 guppy. I've gotten Jen really into it now. I'm really excited. I'm trying to convince her to get a 150 gallon tank. I don't know how well I'm doing on that endeavor. We are planning on getting a small tank for our bedroom and we are going to put some aggressive fish in that one, since we cannot put them in our big tank.

I absolutely love seeing Adrian really enjoy something. We went to the aquarium today and he loved it more than anything before. He was laughing and screaming and blowing farts (from his mouth) the whole time. I had so much fun watching him. I really understand why people say that they love seeing they're child do something they like. I was so joyed to see him. Adrian really likes our fish tank at home and I am trying to make it a really nice tank so he can enjoy fish all the time. I also really enjoy watching fish. They are so beautiful. I want to take him to the aquarium more. I want to really 'get into' something with him as he grows up. Fish are easy and reasonably affordable, so I think that may be it.

I love my son, and I love being a dad. Today really made me realize how much I love being a dad, and what it's all really about.

He is much like his daddy! He doesn't want to be anywhere but the drivers seat!

Life is all about the decisions you make and what you do with those decisions.... good or bad. Some times I just wish I didn't have to make decisions. Even though if I didn't I wouldn't have my wonderful wife or my awesome son. I struggle with decisions sometimes. Either wish i didn't have to make them or didn't have to think about what I choose. I am thankful for everything I have and I wouldn't be if I just let life happen. "Life is only as good as the memories we make"

Finally

Well we finally when and got Adrian and I was so happy to see him and it was really cool because when I walked in the door he got a huge smile on his face and you could tell he was really happy to see me. I came in before Jennifer so I knew the smile was really for me. It made me feel really good! After we picked up Adrian we went to lunch. We came home and went for a really long walk. It was really enjoyable, we walked down Tramway to Comanche and went up to the walk way that goes over Tramway. It was kinda cool. We came back home and Adrian was being so good. He just stood next to the couch and played for about 3 hours!

Last night Jennifer Adrian and I went to Sandia Casino to eat with Dale and Diana. After we were done eating Dale and Diana took Adrian home and some friends came to the casino to hang out with us. We went up to the lounge on the top floor and had a couple drinks and hung out for a little bit. After that we went down stairs and gambled a little bit till we ran out of money and then we lost our friends so we just left and came home. Once we got home we decided that we wanted to get some taco bell. Anyway, the point here is that for the first time I actually did something that most people my age do it was a lot of fun hanging out and drinking (a little bit) and just leaving the house on a whim. I truly felt my age last night. But now it is almost noon and I miss Adrian so much!!! I really want to go get him. I think we're leaving in about 20 minutes to get him. Sigh, we will have to do that again but I don't want to wait that long to see Adrian!

I've been watching my Jennifer and Jasmine with their blogs and it looks like fun, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I doubt I'll be as creative as they are but hey it should be fun. Believe it or not I have the same son as Jennifer.
